How do i keep my headers from leaking will silicone around the exuast port or will lock tight on the bolts do?

ive tried retightening they still end up leaking.How do i keep my headers from leaking will silicone around the exuast port or will lock tight on the bolts do?
I agree that you should replace the gasket but I would also check to make sure that the headers are flat and not warped so they will seal properly. If they are warped and you can't get them true than you may need to replace the headers. Dear god no, don't put silicone on the headers for a gasket, go buy another gasket, and put locking bolts if you like, you see the extreme heat will melt the silicone, it is insufficient on that area of the motor...
