The basement took in some water. Will silicone spray dry the exposed lumber framing which is not pressure treated? In general. is silicone good at drying wood out or protecting against moisture?Silicone spray good at drying/ protecting wood?
Silicon spray can act as a deterrent, but it will not dry out wood. In fact, it may actually seal in the moisture. Open windows %26amp; doors and / or use an exhaust fan to air dry the basement. When the wood is thoroughly dry, you can silicon spray it.
