Is silicone gel good for heal the old scars and new scars also chicken pox scar deep?

I use silicone gel and it works great. I have some indented scarring as well and it works good because my scars are new. I heard the gel doesn't work too well for scars that are too oldIs silicone gel good for heal the old scars and new scars also chicken pox scar deep?
I'm assuming that you are talking about an ';inny'; scar, and not a scar that protrudes outwards. The silicone gel sheets work only for the ';outy'; scars, and not the ones that dent inwards. (That is, if you believe that they work at all.. but that's another subject). For your problem, you'd need either a laser resurfacing or a surgical excision of the scar and then a scar revision.
