from the bottle? Wyatt is 13 months and I'm still having trouble weaning him from the bottle. However, he breastfed for the first 9 1/2 to 10 months then switched to bottle / sippy. Are playtex bottles, liners, and silicone nipples dishwasher safe? Also when did your child wean?
It's all dishwasher safe.
Madison is on the bottle now too. Not entirely. She still nurses during the day but recently she started taking a bottle at night from her Dad. Yey for me:)
I don't know what I'm in for as far as how hard it will be to take the bottle from her. I'll likely be asking you for tips in half a year:)
*edit* answer my newest question - I'd love input from someone sane lolAre playtex bottles, liners, and silicone nipples dishwasher safe? Also when did your child wean?
The liners are not dishwasher safe as they are meant to be a one time use thing. I'm not sure about the bottles, but I just hand wash mine as nothing comes in contact with the bottle anyways. You could try the sippy cups that have the soft spout that are closer to a nipple than a spout and move up from that.
liners for drop ins? they are disposable, one use...i have always washed them by hand in hot soapy water with a hot rinse.....read the paper that came with them it will tell you for sure....
Everything should be safe for the dishwasher. My son is 11 months and he is off the bottle. I even skipped the whole sippy cup thing. I find it is best to wean when they are so curious about everything. He still has his bed time bottle tho. Try just teaching him how to drink out of a regular cup. One less thing to have to wean him off of later.
Well everyone answered you, but I thought I would throw my 2 cents in. I have washed the bottles, nipples and rings in the dishwasher, and yes they are all right the liners are a one time thing.
Having said that I have found SEVERAL alternative liners that are way cheaper that you may want to look for. BJ's wholesale sells 2-100 pack liner containers for 9.99, so that is 200 liners for 10 bucks, way better than Playtex which can really rack you over the coals. They are slightly harder on the bottom but when it comes down to it, what does that matter? And Target sells a brand that is pretty much identical to the playtex inserts.
Good luck!
Everything is top shelf dishwasher safe except for the liners. Liners are a one time use and must be thrown out. Nipples and Rings can be boiled/run through sanitizer, but the bottle itself can not.
I started practicing with a sippy cup at 6 months. My ped recommended early because babies are less likley to accept change as they get older.
