Is it safe to keep a hamster in a large glass aquarium or will he eat the Silicone?

I tried housing a syrian in a 50 gallon tank, and when he would get bored he would eat the silicone in one corner, I avoid aquariums as they are quite dull for a syrian and opt for a large cage with many levels and different things on each level. Aquariums are not airy enough for a hamster, a wired cage I find works best and if the levels have wires I put coroplast over them to make them solid.Is it safe to keep a hamster in a large glass aquarium or will he eat the Silicone?

no it will get to hot if you are going to have a pet get the stuff for it are don't get it
