Just a quick question out there for anyone who uses these. Do you have to grease them like an ordinary tin? I am using a loaf tin to make a loaf of bread. How easy is it to remove the finished product from the mould. Do you have to wait until it is cool or do you take it out after a few minutes like an ordinary tin? Any other hints or tips would also be appreciated.Thank youSilicone baking tins?
Yes they have to be lightly greased, remember to place it on a solid tray before you put it in the oven, other than that treat it as you would a normal tinSilicone baking tins?
Hi oh these are a pain in the bum, I dont know what they are like for bread as its generally harder than a sponge cake but I know that when we got a 9in round tin to make cakes in thinking it would be easier it wasnt, yep you have to grease it a little, and there a little floppy to get into the oven but if you are careful you will manange, the only problem was that when I was trying to get the cake out of the silicone tin it just made the cake crumble to pieces so we had no cake left in the end lol, It much easier with a normal baking tin,
But should be ideal for bread.
my mum bought me some and i used them twice. I used a muffin one without greasing it and they came out just fine. But i did a cake one without greasing and it stuck to it. Maybe i didn't let it cool long enough though, i don't know. But unless you're doing muffins, i'd recommend very light greasing. Just let whatever you're baking cool down COMPLETELY in the silicone tins before attempting to remove.
It is best to grease them for your bread as it will improve the non-stickability. Take the bread out as usual.
